The
Farmhouse
Ground Floor
Leaders Room
This room is benched
on three sides with on open fire, ideal for leaders to relax
in, or can be used as a small activity room.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped
with a large six ring gas cooker, fridge freezer, toaster,
electric kettles, griddle hot plate, microwave cooker, separate
hand and utensil washing facilities, and ample food preparation
and storage space. There is also an extractor fan and electric
insect killer which are recommended to be used when the kitchen
is in operation. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking
and eating utensils. The hot water is on tap and gas is supplied
from a main storage tank. The gas is inclusive in the hire
cost of the building.
Washrooms
There are two separate
washrooms to allow groups to split male and female users if
required. Each washroom is equipped with 2 toilets, 2 wash
basins, 2 shower units, shaving points, mirrors and an automatic
extractor fan. Toilet rolls and cleaning fluids are inclusive
in the hire cost of the building and can be obtained from
Camp Staff if you run out.
Dining Room
The dining room is
supplied with tables and chairs for seating up to 30 persons
at a sitting.
First Floor
Bunk Rooms
There are bunk rooms
at either end of the building, one with the capacity to sleep
up to 15 persons, the other up to 20 persons. Mattresses are provided, but occupants should bring their own
bedding.
Leaders Bunk Room
This
room will sleep 8 persons and is fitted with single bunk accommodation.
Mattresses are provided, but occupants should
bring their own bedding.
Activity Room / Dormitory
A 17’ square
room with a benched surround and open fire. This provides
an ideal space for group activity, relaxation, or additional
floor sleeping accommodation should you require it.
Other Information
Throughout the building
are electric storage heaters, regulated on a fixed timer system,
to allow a ‘warming through’ of the building during
your stay.
A key for locking
the building, if you go out on activities, will be supplied
on arrival of your stay.
Coal, lighting, gas
and purified drinking water on tap are inclusive in the cost
of hiring the building.
The coal is stored
in a covered lean to on the right of the building, as is a
barrel for the deposit of waste ash.
The gas supply comes
from a central tank.
Waste rubbish should
be bagged and deposited in the green waste bins located at
the main entrance to the site.
Drying Room -
Developed with funding kindly donated from the 4 Inns Walk
Committee and opened in Spring 2009, we can now offer a small
drying room facility for campers and building accommodation
customers alike. Situated at the end of the Camp HQ building,
the drying room offers the facility for drying wet clothing and
boots (not that it ever rains at Gradbach!).
